User Experience Designer
“Memory believes before knowing remembers. Believes longer than recollects, longer than knowing even wonders.” -William Faulkner
Julia joined the Pixo team in 2016. She received a master’s degree in Digital Humanities from The City University of New York’s Graduate Center and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois. As a librarian she’s interested in information infrastructures and books (lots of books). In her role as an information scientist and a digital humanist, she is especially interested in how technology can facilitate new levels of engagement and access to information. As a UX Designer, Julia is focused on the relationship between visual displays of information and user interaction.
In her spare time Julia is most likely out on a walk, cooking/eating delicious food, or at home working with materials (wood, paint, fabric). She will also watch any movie-TV show-film at any time, even if it is too spooky for her.
